Customized Independent Travel

Downunder Journeys will become your personal travel agents, we can help with just a hotel, or we can help with a full day by day itinerary with hotels, sightseeing, transfers and airfares. We can work with you if you did your own airfares to and from the country, as much or as little assistance as you need. 

You probably have been thinking about what you want to do, or you may have absolutely no idea of where to start, so as much information as you can provide to us is always welcomed. A customized trip can be arranged for any number of people - although once the size reaches 10 we would classify this as a group.

What goes into your Customized Travel Planning?
Designing your custom itinerary with you will usually include the following steps. Please contact us by phone or e-mail in the first instance for your Custom Itinerary Initial consultation. Following this enquiry we will promptly reply by e-mail. We will also be pleased to phone you at a time convenient to you to discuss your trip so please ensure to state your phone number and if possible in the notes a good time for us to call.

Information Gathering...
We begin by finding out as much as you want to share about yourself. How do you like to travel? What style of accommodation do you like? Are you open to trying new things? How adventurous are you – ready to bungy jump? (Jillian did and Kate was brave enough to do the Canyon Swing!)

Suggested itinerary and budget...
From the information you have given us we will draft an initial overview Australia itinerary and prepare a budget including personally recommended accommodations, activities and transport. You will have the opportunity to review this draft document and make comments so that it can be refined and revised to establish a final custom itinerary and budget for your trip. We provide you with a quote, with a package price of all items outlined on a quote sheet. Air and land are quoted separately, as air can change so quickly!

Reservations...
Using the final custom itinerary and budget for your trip we will proceed with all necessary bookings. Downunder Journeys makes all of your reservations and arrangements.

Documentation...
Final documentation, on completion of your bookings we will prepare your final documentation.

Whilst Traveling...
Our Australia and New Zealand based partners will be there to look after you, seven days a week. These partners are people who we have personally chosen to work with, who will be able to assist throughout your journey.

On your Return...
Downunder Journeys welcomes any feedback you have on your trip. How did we do in planning your trip, any major highlights, any ways we could improve, all your feedback is essential to ensure we keep to our standards high.
